But don't worry if you haven't been eating enough of it - just head on over to the nearest protein bar vendor or buy a tub of whey powder online!
Beef is a great source of protein, but also comes with a side of saturated fat and cholesterol, because who needs a healthy heart anyway? Just ask the Cleveland Clinic, they'll tell you that smaller portions are probably best - but what's "smaller" even mean when it comes to beef?
Pork, on the other hand, is high in protein and B-complex vitamins, but only if you're not eating processed meats like bacon or ham. Those things are basically just meat-flavored cardboard with added sodium.

In conclusion, it's clear that humans need variety in their protein sources - but also not too much, because excess protein is just bad for you, apparently.
